I read this - Encephalitis deaths in Uttar Pradesh and I read this - our dear Amma [u know who's she, dont you?] pleadging one million dollars to Katrina victims! Read the article and you'll hear her saying that its her duty. Our Indian government too has contributed an aid of about 5 million dollars [later in the article]. I completely understand that our government has to repay America for all its help during our bad times.....or maybe it isnt about repaying, our government maybe just trying to help. But what I'm confused about is whether this is right or wrong :-/

I think it's not about repaying, but to show that we care. But to see our own countrymen dying of these diseases... Even if our politicians had an excess money, they wouldn't reach the proper hands.
simple for amm $5mil means donations of over $20 mil, she gets space on american tv, and can spread her msg, then can increase the ize od her Rs 100 crs empire even further,

I was thinking the same about her too.....considering where she gets all the funds from!
amma is clearly in spirituality business.her medical college is asking highest capitaion fee for medical seat in kerala.
